Could a grant help fund your EV charger installation?
Government support may contribute towards an eligible chargepoint installation at your home, rental property or workplace.
First, check the official eligibility criteria. Then, tell us what you need to receive an installation quote.
The relevant government scheme, not TradeWatch UK, decides whether you qualify and approves applications.
Which EV chargepoint grant could apply?
These are the main routes relevant to homeowners, tenants, landlords and businesses. However, each scheme has detailed conditions, so always confirm your eligibility on GOV.UK.

Renters and flat owners
This route supports eligible people who rent and live in a residential property, or own and live in a flat.
- Private off-street parking is required
- Property and applicant conditions apply

Grant rates, deadlines and eligibility can change. Therefore, check the latest guidance even though the government currently plans to run these schemes until 31 March 2027.
Who can request a quote?
You can still request an installation quote if a grant does not apply. In that case, your installer can discuss the practical requirements for your property.
Homeowners
Plan a safe, convenient home charging setup for your vehicle and parking arrangements.
Tenants
Explore charging options and understand what permissions may be needed before installation.
Landlords
Add charging facilities to residential properties, blocks or a wider property portfolio.
Businesses
Support staff, visitors or fleet vehicles with workplace chargepoint installations.
From eligibility check to installation quote

No. Instead, eligibility depends on the particular scheme and can include conditions relating to the applicant, property, parking and installation. Therefore, check the linked GOV.UK guidance for the definitive criteria.
Does TradeWatch UK award or approve the grant?+
No. TradeWatch UK helps you make an installation enquiry. However, the relevant government scheme handles grant applications and approvals.
Can I request a quote if I am not eligible?+
Yes. Even if you do not qualify for a grant, you can still request a quote for an EV chargepoint installation.
How long are the current grants available?+
Current government guidance says five chargepoint schemes are available until 31 March 2027. Nevertheless, schemes and funding can change, so check GOV.UK before proceeding.
